Project Details
In 1988, Slack Alost prepared an inventory of existing conditions, and then developed a master plan to guide the terminal's growth over a twenty year period. Shreveport Airport Authority adopted the master plan and Slack Alost was selected to plan and design its new terminal building and concourse renovations. Total building area is 200,000 square feet which includes the 60,000 square foot addition.

A detailed phasing plan was developed to manage construction and provide minimal disruption to terminal users. The new terminal building serves as a gateway for visitors arriving to Shreveport. All arriving and departing passengers are channeled through the new terminal building which was constructed in compliance with current FAA Security Guidelines.
